| On Saturday 21st January members of Portal Council No.1 welcomed the District Grand Prefect Bill Seddon together with members of the District Team to their Installation Meeting. |

| After being welcomed by the W.M. Andy Whittle, the District Prefect Bill Seddon introduced the District Officers. |
| The next business was the Installation as Master of Bro. Bill Wenton, which was carried out in an excellent manner by Andy Whittle. |

| Following the Installation Ceremony Bill Seddon, the District Grand Prefect congratulated W.Bro. Bill Wenton on becoming Master of Portal Council, wishing him well for the future. |
| He also commented on the high standard of Ritual worked in the Ceremony of Installation thanking Andy Whittle on the excellence of the work carried out and for his stewardship of the Council over the past 12 months. |
| In reply Bill Wenton thanks the District Grand Prefect for his generous comments inviting him and all present to join him at dinner. |

| Did anyone spot the personalised Registration plate on the car of the Grand Junior Deacon? Although on his Grand Tour, William Richmond on this occasion was also attending as a member District Team, being the District Treasurer. |
